A Solar/ Electrical Project Manager is responsible for providing technical review of existing facilities for owners, lenders, buyers and investors to provide information required to make an informed decision concerning the physical condition of properties and the cost associated with the conditions of the Solar panels. The Solar-Electrical Engineer leads and performs physical property condition assessments (PCA) for a variety of clients, including State and Federal agencies, and corporate companies. Property Condition Assessments (PCAs) are prepared for industrial, warehouse, retail facilities, multi-family residential complexes, medical facilities, hospitality properties, institutional and high-rise buildings. This may require climbing two-story ladders or going up in a lift, lift operating certification is a plus). Will require walking on roofs etc. Visit site to gather information as needed for the engineers in the office. Take detailed notes on the electrical service and electrical room. Determine locations for line or load side interconnections. Assist engineers in understanding the existing conditions on sites and your recommendations. Visit site as the owners agent. Detailed, hands-on, inspections of electrical normal power, emergency power, and commercial solar PV installations. Confirm the startup and programming of solar monitoring systems Evaluate solar network connections and trouble-shooting reports (wired & cellular). Evaluate solar short and long term system performance. What You'll Need: Bachelors degree (BA/BS or equivalent experience) in mechanical or electrical engineering PLUS 5 years of previous experience with industrial and commercial electrical distribution equipment (Switchboards, switchgear, pad mount transformers, etc.) and commercial scale PV systems inspection, evaluation, or installation. Skills with Microsoft Office Suite Products (Teams, Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc.) Proficiency in Zoom, Chime, Teams, Skype, etc. Preferred Qualifications Previous building evaluation or Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) reporting experience. OSHA 30 card Proficient in relevant PV industry tools and software, including Solmetric Suneye, PVWatts, PVSyst. Excellent knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) including solar PV system applications. Professional Engineer Why CBRE? The minimum salary for the Property Condition Assessor, Solar Inspections position is $115,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $130,000 annually.
