DescriptionTradesmen International is looking to expand our team of qualified Marine Trade Professionals for current & future projects in and around Newport News, VA . Most positions are first shift with a pay range of $24-38/hour based on experience plus Per Diem to qualified Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. If you are a Marine Shipfitters and want to work alongside other proven Craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior workmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!Job Scope :* Layout and Fabricate Metal Structural Parts, such as Plates, Bulkheads, and Frames, and Braces them into Position within Hull of Ship for Riveting or Welding* Lays out Position of Parts on Metal* Using Scribe and Hand Tools* Locate and Mark Reference, such as Center, Buttock and Frame Lines* Position Parts in Hull of Ship, assisted by Rigger* Aligns Parts in Relation to each other, using Jacks, Turnbuckles, Clips, Wedges, and Mauls* Marks Location of Holes to be Drilled and Installs Temporary Fasteners to Hold Part in Place for Welding or Riveting* Installs Packing and Gaskets, Liners and Structural Accessories and Members, such as Doors, Hatches, Brackets and Clips* Prepare Molds and Templates for Fabrication of Non-Standard Parts* Tack Weld Clips and Brackets in Place Prior to Permanent Welding* Roll, Bend, Flange, Cute and Shape Plates, Beams, and other Heavy Metal Parts, using Shop Machinery, such as Plate Rolls, Presses, Bending Brakes and Joggle MachinesRequirements:* Able to Read Blueprints or Templates* Tools for the Trade* Proper PPE* OSHA 10 is PreferredCompany DetailsTradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.Our comprehensive benefits include:* Vacation Pay* Health insurance* 401(k) profit-sharing savings plan* Incentive programs* Tool purchase programs & MORE!Tradesmen International is an EO employer - M/F/Veteran/DisabilityClick here to visit Tradesmen's full website.
