Position Name: Process Technician 2nd Shift

Location: Manor, Texas

Technical Competence:

  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting machinery and equipment relevant to the specific industry (e.g., manufacturing, chemical processing, pharmaceuticals).
  • Understanding of process control systems, including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to equipment operation and maintenance.

Analytical Skills:

  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends to optimize process efficiency and quality.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving to diagnose and resolve issues with machinery or processes promptly.
  • Familiarity with statistical methods and tools for process improvement, such as Six Sigma or Lean principles.

Communication Skills:

  • Effective communication with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate activities and address any production issues.
  • Clear documentation of process parameters, equipment maintenance activities, and production logs.

Adaptability:

  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and production schedules.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, processes, and equipment upgrades.

Attention to Detail:

  • Diligence in monitoring process variables and equipment performance to ensure consistency and quality in production output. Thoroughness in following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols to maintain regulatory compliance and product quality standards.

Mechanical Aptitude:

  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and components involved in manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks and minor repairs on machinery and equipment.

Teamwork:

  • Collaboration with colleagues in various departments, such as engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance, to achieve production goals and resolve technical issues.
  • Willingness to share knowledge and provide training to less experienced team members.

Education and Training:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required, though some positions may prefer or require an associate degree or vocational training in a related field.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses may be advantageous, such as those in process technology, safety training (e.g., OSHA), or equipment operation.
