Our client, a national leader in precision test equipment, is seeking a skilled Technical Sales Manager for their environmental division in Warminster, PA (Hyrbid).


This division specializes in crafting environmentally controlled testing chambers tailored for the HVAC, Automotive, and Life Sciences sectors. The Technical Sales Manager will engage with a diverse portfolio of new and existing accounts, prioritizing customer satisfaction to foster repeat business.


As the Technical Sales Manager, your primary focus will be on account management, where you will build and maintain robust, long-term relationships with key clients and industry partners to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a deep technical understanding of custom-manufactured equipment, allowing them to develop a subject matter expert (SME) understanding of the environmentally controlled testing systems and chambers.


Your role will involve providing technical expertise to assist in the construction of environmentally controlled test chambers that are tailor-made to meet client-specific specifications. This position requires a strong technical background, as well as a highly motivated, results-oriented individual with a process-driven mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with multiple clients and industry partners.
  • Manage accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our environmentally controlled systems and chambers, as well as the industries and applications they serve.
  • Work closely with engineering to translate client requirements into technical specifications.
  • Prepare accurate and competitive technical quotes for clients, collaborating closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure alignment with technical specifications and production capabilities.
  • Collaborate and cross-sell with a national team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets.
  • Establish and optimize sales processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency in the sales cycle.
  • Adhere to the established sales process, including the effective use of CRM software for pipeline management, forecasting, and customer relationship tracking.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities.
  • Contribute to the development of sales and marketing strategies based on market insights and customer feedback.
  • Monitor sales performance and maintain accurate sales records.
  • Generate regular reports and forecasts for senior management.


Candidate Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of Technical Sales experience selling custom manufactured equipment
  • Must have experience selling Custom manufactured equipment into the HVAC, Automotive, refrigeration, or similar industry.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering teams to translate client requirements into technical specifications.
  • Deep technical understanding of custom-manufactured equipment.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Must travel to client sites and trade show events (~40%).
  • Familiarity with CRM software for pipeline management and forecasting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a national sales team.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.


Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 base salary, plus an uncapped performance-based bonus on achieving and exceeding targets.

First-year on-target earnings (OTE) are expected to be $125,000-130,000.

Location: Warminster, PA (hybrid).
