Dueall Construction is the premier contractor in Florida for exterior restoration, reconstruction, and intrusive testing. We work with some of the top engineering firms across the state to repair and revitalize homes, townhomes, apartment buildings, and businesses. As our footprint across the state grows, we are looking to add to our Bradenton office staff.
We are currently looking for a construction estimator with experience in current construction methods, materials, and regulations. This position will involve reviewing construction plans, engineers reports, and bid documents, and then performing takeoffs and compiling estimates.
Duties
a. Analyzing requirement documents, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
b. Preparing material estimates and cost estimates for the project by utilizing On Screen Takeoff, Microsoft Excel, and additional tools
c. Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors
d. Managing bids from vendors and contractors
e. Presenting prepared estimates to management
Skills
a. Proficient in using estimating software and tools
b. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
c. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
d. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
e. Effective communication and negotiation skills
f. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
g. Ability to review blueprints, specifications and reports to assess project requirements
h. Advanced computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
