Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our New Orleans office and support the firm s diverse portfolio of syndicated federal and state tax credits (Historic Rehabilitation, Affordable/Workforce Housing, Renewable Energy, Film & Entertainment, etc.) and tax advantaged real estate assets (primarily Historic Rehabilitation and Affordable Housing Developments). As a member of RiseImpact you will work with an experienced, dynamic team in a challenging, intense, and fast-paced environment. This position will oversee qualitative/quantitative transaction analysis including tax credit research, proforma financial statement modeling and projections for target projects, due diligence/underwriting analysis, transaction structuring, and asset management.


Essential Functions:

  • Conduct research and analysis on federal and state tax credit incentives, including both new and existing programs.
  • Conduct initial research on potential real estate acquisitions including market analysis, current condition of property and improvements, and eligibility for various tax incentives.
  • Create transaction models including financial performance and proforma financials.
  • Coordinate with internal legal, tax, and accounting functions to collect/organize transaction due diligence and perform underwriting analysis.
  • Coordinate with legal and other functions to determine appropriate transaction structure.
  • Produce timely and accurate word-processed documents and spreadsheets (reports, memos, pitch decks, proposals, charts, agreements, PowerPoint presentations, etc.).
  • Bring new and innovative ideas to the team to improve internal and external processes.
  • Capable of leading a team to achieve the above responsibilities.
  • Assisting and or leading a team to manage special projects for other RiseImpact Capital companies and affiliates on an as needed and time permitting basis.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or commensurate degree field.
  • 3-5 years experience in the fields of accounting, finance, banking, real estate, or commensurate work experience necessary to perform key responsibilities outlined.
  • Advanced Microsoft office product knowledge Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proven analytical, problem identification, and resolution skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management and project delivery skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with elevated expectations and being held accountable to deliver assigned tasks and responsibilities in a timely manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate Degree in a business, accounting, or finance related field.
  • Experience with federal and state tax credits, real estate transactions, or partnership tax.
  • Experience with the underwriting process, specifically as it applies to real estate.
  • Contacts with real estate marketing vendors and analysts and/or contacts within targeted individual taxpayer community (CPAs, attorneys, financial advisors, wealth management firms, family offices) or targeted corporate taxpayer community (c-suite management or income tax contacts at banks, insurance companies, large publicly traded companies, etc.).

Travel Requirements:

Infrequent travel (less than 25% of the time).
