**Regular, Full-time - Market Range - 06**

This position processes the daily cleaning activities of all employees in Building Services, as documented in Compu-clean, to insure all areas have been cleaned and meet the University requirements. Will be required to put together reports for Facilities Services Leadership and campus customers. Will also be required to instruct Building service personnel on Coypu-clean operations and documentation. Responsible for ordering supplies needed by Building Services Foremen and staff. Has the knowledge, expertise and ability to train building services employees per Standard Operating Procedure guidelines utilizing the most efficient cleaning techniques available and in proper use and disposal of cleaning materials and proper use and maintenance of equipment. Performs sampling tests with Hygena swabs to ensure cleanliness and verify proper cleaning has been performed and documented in the Compu-Clean system. Serves as the focal point for new technology and testing in the cleaning industry, will work with National Companies to test products and provide results and effectiveness. Position makes sure acceptable cleaning standards are being maintained, the staff perform at their potential, and that standard operating procedures and material safety guidelines are met. This position is responsible for maintaining and updating the Building Services Guidebook, which outlines the regulations of the campus and department. This position develops supervisors and assistant supervisors in their roles by training them in the peripheral areas that they come into contact with, such as; progressive discipline, accident reporting, worker's compensation, Family Medical Leave, Title IX and other supervisory duties. This position also coordinates the Cleaning Certification Program, which is a 22 week, 2 hour classes twice a week. This position schedules the teachers and classes, orders the materials, maintains the teaching materiel (PPT slides) oversees the examination process and will teach some of the classes.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications** :

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of five years of cleaning experience, 1 year of which must be supervisory experience.

Valid TN Drivers License

Applicant should be able to read and follow instructions; ability to give work direction and instruction; clean and neat in appearance; able to work required shift. Applicant will be required to do physical work; able to lift 25lbs.
