Warehouse Worker
Responsibilities:
- Receiving and Processing Shipments: Unloading trucks, verifying received goods against invoices or orders, and inspecting for damaged or missing items.
- Inventory Management: Organizing and storing inventory in designated locations within the warehouse, ensuring efficient space utilization.
- Picking and Packing Orders: Fulfilling customer orders by accurately selecting the correct items from inventory, packaging them securely, and preparing them for shipment.
- Shipping: Loading outgoing shipments onto trucks, ensuring proper labeling and documentation, and coordinating with shipping carriers.
- Inventory Control: Conducting regular inventory counts, reconciling discrepancies, and updating inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Quality Control: Inspecting products for defects or damages, reporting any issues, and maintaining high standards of quality.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries, and complying with company policies and procedures.
- Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance tasks on warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
- Housekeeping: Keeping the warehouse clean and organized, including sweeping floors, removing debris, and disposing of waste properly.
- Team Collaboration: Working closely with other warehouse staff and supervisors to achieve common goals and meet deadlines.
Qualifications and Skills - Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks repeatedly throughout the day.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in verifying quantities and inspecting products for quality.
- Time Management: Efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow instructions.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer literacy.
- Safety Consciousness: Knowledge of safety regulations and practices to maintain a safe work environment.
- Team Player: Ability to work well in a team environment and contribute to a positive work culture.
- Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.
Benefits/Compensation - Full Time
- Pay Rate is $20 per hour
- 1st Shift: 7:30 AM-5:00 PM
- Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts
- Benefits available while employed through Career Concepts
- Temp-To-Hire
