Valerie Messika is the heir to her father's history, Andr Messika, a leader in the diamond trade industry. The Jewelry house is now distributed in more than 500 points of sales in around 75 countries.


The Goal:

Messika Americas manages North America, Latam, Caribbean and Travel retail distribution networks. Messika operates directly 3 boutiques in the US and has an agressive retail expansion plan. Messika is distributed in multiple wholesaler accounts (department stores, independents, ) and via E-commerce (operated internally). Messika USA has a strong expansion plan over the coming years, which includes building a team of highly motivated, ambitious individuals who will contribute to the continued growth and development of the brand in the American Market.


The mission of the Inventory coordinator is to manage the the operational tasks regarding the physical flows, specifically reception, storage, pick, prepare & ship orders.


Reporting to the: Stock and Repair Manager.


Key Responsabilities:

Reception

  • Physically receive all delivered goods
  • Register, quality control, and store incoming merchandise in a timely manner (including deliveries from HQ and stock, consignment, and asset returns from POS)


Preparation

  • Fill, invoice, and ship orders
  • Pull jewels from safe for order fulfillment (stock orders + e-commerce)
  • Prepare, package, invoice, and ship product orders in an efficient and timely manner
  • Coordinate/book Logistics with high value carriers for daily shipments and event deliveries
  • Facilitate drop-shipments and e-commerce order shipping


General Operations

  • Facilitate routine inventories (weekly/monthly/yearly) under the direction of management
  • Ensure the correct enforcement of headquarter s rules and procedures regarding inventory management and quality control
  • Maintain organization of office and spaces where jewelry is being handled
  • Maintain organization of safe according to system and policy set forth by management
  • Support event preparation by facilitating addition of price tags, and executing specialty preparation of merchanise


Customer Service:

  • Support the Stock & Repair manager with management of repairs
  • Diagnose proposed service for client and stock repairs as needed
  • Communicate with clients, colleagues, and external vendors regarding repairs as needed
  • Respond to internal inquiries regarding stock and safe contents
  • Recall merchandise from Retailers as directed by managment


Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years experience with jewelry, watches, or similar
  • College experience preferred
  • Previous position in physical flow management (stockist, order preparation, POS back office)
  • Hands-on experience in administrative retail sales support and use of ERP is a plus
  • Abitily to manage physically a significant level volume of stocks & visually control fine jewellery pieces (quality check)
  • Good priority-setting
  • Creative problem solver with a willingness to learn
  • Flexibility and ability to work successfully under pressure
  • Computer literacy required; basic knowledge of Excel, Word
  • Experience with ERP software
  • Fluent in English, French is a plus
