We are currently partnered with a leading player within the rigid plastic packaging segment.
The company is seeking to hire an EHS Manager.
The position is to be based on-site in Greenville-Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide a safe work environment and act as a safety role model.
- Lead emergency response efforts and manage regulatory changes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Address non-conformances and report safety issues promptly.
- Wear appropriate PPE and be prepared for travel as required.
- Lead safety committees and collaborate with stakeholders to improve safety practices.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs and monitor performance metrics.
- Utilize data to prioritize safety initiatives and support incident investigations.
- Manage Workers' Compensation cases and oversee the Learning Management System.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and manage hazardous waste programs.
- Investigate environmental incidents and implement corrective actions.
What Will Make You Best Suited for the Role?
- 5-10 years of health & safety experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Certification in safety training and environmental management is preferred.
- Proficiency in Workers' Compensation management and familiarity with ISO standards.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
