As a SQL Server Database Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and performance of databases within the Treasurer's Office. Your focus will be on designing and implementing databases, minimizing downtime through monitoring, enforcing security measures, and maintaining replication and Always-On clusters.


Responsibilities

Design and implement databases customized to meet the specific needs of the Treasurer's Office.

Utilize monitoring tools and techniques to minimize database downtime and ensure optimal performance.

Define users and roles within databases to enforce security measures and manage data access effectively.

Develop SQL scripts, stored procedures, and functions to streamline database operations and data manipulation.

Implement and manage complex replication and Always-On clusters to ensure high availability and disaster recovery.

Collaborate with development teams to provide necessary data access for application development and testing.


Qualifications

Proficiency in SQL Server administration, encompassing backup, recovery, and security protocols.

Expertise in MS SQL replication and Always-On configuration and management.

Strong command of T-SQL for querying and database manipulation.

Experience with PowerShell scripting for automating routine tasks.

Familiarity with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) for ETL processes.

Competence in SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) for report creation and maintenance.

Minimum of 5 years of database administration experience, preferably with MS SQL Server.

Demonstrated expertise in SQL Server database administration, complex replication, and Availability Groups.

Proven track record in implementing and managing database security measures.

Experience in database performance tuning and optimization.

Previous collaboration with development teams to provide data access.

Five (5) years of database design and development experience, particularly with MS SQL preferred.

Three (3) years of advanced ETL and SSIS design and development experience preferred.

Two (2) years of advanced experience in replication and Always-On configuration preferred.

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science preferred.
