Job Details
We are a long-established electric motor manufacturing plant on the east side of Houston, TX in the 77020 zip code. This is an entry-level position that involves handling phone calls, directing inquiries, greeting and assisting visitors face-to-face (including vendors, clients, job candidates and customers), and providing support to the various departments within the organization.
Responsibilities encompass but are not confined to:
Maintain professional appearance both personally and of the reception area
Answer telephone, screen and direct calls
Accurately take and relay messages
Provide information to callers
Greet persons entering organization and direct to correct destination
Deal with queries from the public and customers
Accepts employment applications
Ensures knowledge of staff movements in and out of organization
General administrative and clerical support
Receive and sort mail and deliveries; prepare all outgoing mail for delivery to post office
Scan documents as needed
Data Entry of manual timecards as needed
Assist with planning and food ordering for company-wide luncheons/events
Required Skills
1+ years experience in an office environment
Strong attention to detail, organized and computer literate
Beginner to intermediate skill level in Word, preferred
Knowledge of administrative/clerical procedures and proper email etiquette
Good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish
Bi-lingual is a must
High School diploma required
Some college is a plus
