Location: Sandy, UT (Hybrid: 3 days remote, 2 days in office)


Contract: 6+ Months


Compensation: Competitive pay $35-$45/hour commensurate with experience.

Position Summary: They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Applications Specialist (Quoting Specialist) to join their team on a contract basis. This role will be pivotal in enabling their sellers to effectively and quickly close deals by providing expertise in quoting processes and utilizing Salesforce quoting tools. The ideal candidate will have a background in sales or business operations within the software industry, with a strong ability to recognize patterns, solve problems, and drive process improvements.


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a knowledge focal point for pricing across their platform, collaborating with various teams to improve sales velocity and time-to-quote.
  • Utilize Salesforce quoting tools to generate accurate and timely quotes for prospective and existing clients.
  • Analyze complex pricing structures and contract terms to ensure alignment with company policies and profitability goals.
  • Collaborate with sales, finance, and marketing teams to refine quoting processes and optimize pricing strategies.
  • Provide guidance to cross-functional teams on quoting best practices and system utilization.
  • Identify and resolve quoting-related issues, escalating as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on quoting processes, tools, and systems.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales support functions within the software industry, with proficiency in Salesforce CPQ or similar enterprise quoting systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion to support and assist others.
  • Analytical, quick learner, and highly detail-oriented individual with a proven track record of driving process improvements.
  • Background in the software industry with a strong understanding of SaaS business models.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite with proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables.
  • Bachelor s degree in any discipline.
