Manpower is assisting a well-known public transportation company local to Harrisburg in hiring a full time 2nd class mechanic. This role offers amazing benefits and room for advancement. The right candidate must be able to work well with others, have flexibility with work schedule, and have a clean driving record for the past three years. The work schedule for new hires will be Monday-Thursday 12pm-10:30PM OR Wednesday-Saturday12pm-10:30PM
Job Title: 2nd Class Mechanic
Location: Harrisburg PA
Pay Range: $28.78/hr to $30.38/hr after 90 days
Key Responsibilities Include:
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair principles, procedures, methods and techniques.
This position is responsible for performing general servicing, preventative maintenance, basic diagnosing and troubleshooting, and performing both minor and major repairs to maintain all fleet vehicles in good working order
requires working along with other mechanics in major repairs and overhauls
Receives complaints and requests for equipment service and makes evaluations; makes road calls to service disabled vehicles, as directed by management.
Knowledge of equipment and specialized tools
Knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle preventive maintenance.
Ability to diagnose and repair heavy duty vehicles; demonstrated problem solving skills and complete assignments.
Ability to work variable shifts, irregular hours and be available for work/overtime in accordance with bid, CBA, policy, and response to emergency situations.
