Director of Psychiatric Nursing


Job Details

We have been retained by a close client partner and healthcare system in Florida to identify a talented Director of Psychiatric Nursing for a new state-of-the-art behavioral healthcare facility. This key leader will be a collaborative member of the behavioral health leadership team who will integrate and coordinate patient centric nursing practices with a focus on service excellence, while developing and directing the activities of the department in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care standards. This leader will strive to achieve the organization's mission of providing excellent patient care and establish standards of excellence in nursing and technicians' practices through a commitment to patient advocacy and innovative patient care in a climate of trust and collaboration. This leader will supervise the Nursing leadership team to include supervisors, coordinators, managers, and the educator. This leader will participate in the behavioral health administrative on-call rotation.


Requirements:

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required.
  • FL Registered Nurse required.
  • Requires seven (7) years of progressive leadership and management experience in nursing with a minimum of three (3) years within behavioral health.
  • Requires Board Certification in psychiatric nursing within six months of hire.


Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated leadership and management skills with knowledge and application of advanced professional nursing practice, CQI process, Nursing care delivery models, accreditation/licensure experience, health care delivery systems and budgetary processes. Demonstrated fiscal responsibility and the ability to prepare operating and capital expense budgets and financial reports. Expert communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact and interface with all levels of staff and senior management. Ability to work independently and in groups to achieve established goals and objectives.

Our client provides a competitive market range of compensation for this position. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience and specific worksite location. The Pay Range for this position is $125,000 to 160,000. It is possible that this position can be hired outside of this salary range based on experience.
