Job Description The Senior Procurement IT Category Manager will strategically manage and optimize the IT Procurement process. You will be responsible for developing and implementing category strategies to efficiently source IT software, goods, and services, negotiate contracts and collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality IT sourcing solutions, while achieving cost savings. The Senior Procurement IT Category Manager will strategically manage and optimize the IT Procurement process. You will be responsible for developing and implementing category strategies to efficiently source IT software, goods, and services, negotiate contracts and collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality IT sourcing solutions, while achieving cost savings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT Procurement and the overall S2P process. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.Deep understanding of Procurement category management, contracting and P2P functions, including how they are performed and best practices to drive process improvementsAbility to think strategically and develop the Procurement IT product / services category strategies to align with the goals and objectives of our internal business unitsDevelop strategic & preferred supplier lists at the IT subcategory levelWork with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on Procurement goals and objectivesLead IT strategic supplier management, including conducting formal supplier assessments in conjunction with key stakeholders, and managing supplier relationshipsNegotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve best possible terms and deliver cost savingsIndependently lead supplier contract negotiations and commercial redlines, in collaboration with Legal and InfoSec teamsLead Procurement general project initiatives, identify opportunities to improve processes and deliver stakeholder education sessions, as neededDevelop and mentor junior Procurement professionalsSupervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or related fieldMinimum 8-10 years in IT Procurement (Saas, Services & Product), with track record of successfully managing complex IT Procurement categoriesCertificates and Licenses: Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) certification preferred OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Strong negotiation skills and a demonstrated ability to drive cost savingsIn depth knowledge of IT Procurement best practices, market trends, and contractingExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teamsStrong analytical, problem solving and project management skillsMicrosoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powe Point, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.Ability to travel >10% of the timeAbility to clear required background checkDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:MBA preferredExperience in Education Technology industryExperience consolidating / integrating subsidiary and affiliate contracts for strategic suppliersExperience with Cobblestone Contract Management System and NetSuite a plusWORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
