Job Details

We are currently seeking an Enterprise Architect with a background in Artificial Intelligence (AI) for a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. The Enterprise Architect will work with the global infrastructure, information, and application solution architects to drive overall architectural convergence. The Enterprise Architect will also serve as an advisor who bridges the gap between the technical world of artificial intelligence and the strategic needs of the business, possessing a deep understanding of AI technologies and methodologies, coupled with the acumen to discern practical applications within industry sectors.


Note: The Enterprise Architect is a hybrid role and will need to sit onsite 3 days a week in Toledo or Detroit areas.


Responsibilities:

  • an Enterprise Architecture Framework & Roadmap(s) to drive consolidation, rationalization, and improved functionality across the information technology environment.
  • with clients and internal teams to drive successful AI implementations
  • closely with business stakeholders to identify AI use cases within the organization.
  • existing processes and determine areas where AI automation can bring improvements.
  • an opportunity is identified, collaborate with the in-house team to design AI tools that address specific problems or assist in selecting the right AI platform(s).
  • expertise to guide the organization in developing high-quality AI applications.
  • Infrastructure Architecture and Standards repository documents that will provide a ready source of technical information for IT Strategy, Architecture and Project Planning
  • with senior management within the organization, directing the creation or review of enterprise architecture strategy to support the strategic requirements of the business.
  • strategies, specifies requirements, commissions, or conducts feasibility studies and produces strategic models for infrastructure, security and assigned business functions, that support the business needs.
  • policy and strategy for the enterprise architecture components within a given domain. Takes full responsibility for the enterprise architecture technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices, ensuring they are applied correctly, and promoting consistency.
  • development of enterprise architectures for infrastructure, cybersecurity, and assigned business functions. Takes full responsibility for ensuring that enterprise architectures balance business and IT needs ensuring that appropriate standards are established and adhered to.
  • development of enterprise-wide architecture and processes, focusing on application architectures.
  • business cases for recommended new applications of information, computing, and communications technologies, identifying the business impact of alternative strategies, the probability of satisfying business needs, the anticipated business benefits and the risks and consequences of failure.
  • with application and infrastructure teams to ensure a healthy balance between moving to enterprise architecture standards and legacy system requirements to support overall business rate of change and budget constraints.
  • POC/Pilot and Technology selection projects in infrastructure and cybersecurity domains to influence IT and business unit technology directions. This may include building business case, evaluating build vs. buy solutions, and solution architecture responsibilities for POC/Pilot projects.

Qualifications:

  • Degree required, preferably in a related discipline, such as Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science or Business
  • 7-10 years in related business, business process improvement or information technology work.
  • with various AI technologies, including computer vision, machine learning models, deep learning, and neural networks.
  • in identifying business challenges and designing AI solutions to address them.
  • thinking to adapt AI methodologies to specific contexts.
  • of IT Architecture on multiple major global applications or infrastructure projects.
  • of IT Standards used by global companies.
  • architecture experience a MUST, preferably with Azure.
  • experience architecting infrastructure and cybersecurity.
  • using IT Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, FEAF, etc
  • with IT Architecture Tools such as Abacus, System Architect, Troux EA tools, etc. and modeling notations such as UML
  • experience implementing and operating IT Architecture Governance processes.
  • with general principles of Enterprise Architecture, such as approaches, patterns, metrics, and relevant industry standards.
