Responsibilities
This position reviews drawings from large projects to prepare time, materials, and labor estimates
Analyze blueprints and other documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates
Able to gather information from vendors and subcontractors to determine the cost of materials and labor
Qualifications
The applicant should have strong communication skills and able to effectively manage multiple projects at once while also developing and maintaining relationships with clients
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, pass a background check and have reliable transportation to get to and from work
Able to read, understand and incorporate bid instructions and detailed specifications into each estimate
Personable with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and clients
Able to present estimates to clients for review and approval
Ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written)
Ability to react quickly to request of field associates and client needs
Experience in estimating steel projects of varying complexity from start to finish
Two plus years of structural steel experience required
Must become familiar and compliant with the company's safety program and OSHA regulations
Must maintain fitness level sufficient to handle his/her required work load
Monday-Thursday from 6:30 AM 4:30 PM. 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week and overtime as necessary or until work is completed
