Job Title: Maintenance Technician II
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Shift: (Fri - Sun) every other Thurs 5:30 am-6 pm
Job Description:
General Maintenance Mechanic to operate, maintain, and support our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Essential Areas of Responsibility:
- Conduct regular inspections and perform preventative maintenance for facilities, equipment, and systems.
- Maintain logs and records to support operation and maintenance of critical systems, ensuring effective operation and cGMP compliance.
- Operate and maintain the central utilities plant, including high-pressure steam, water boilers, centrifugal chillers, pumping systems, cooling towers, air handling units, air compressors, purified water systems, and waste water treatment systems.
- Maintain buildings and grounds, ensuring they are in optimal condition.
- Respond to service calls during and after regular working hours, troubleshoot, and complete in-house repairs, coordinating outside contractor support when necessary.
- Provide support and backup for manufacturing and other maintenance activities.
- Work during scheduled plant shutdown days.
Qualifications: - High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of facility maintenance and/or construction experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, or food processing.
- Working knowledge of operation, maintenance, and repair of plant utility systems preferred.
- Experience and proficiency in securing Boiler Operator (High Pressure) certification and/or electrical licenses is preferred.
- Knowledge of and experience with HVAC and plumbing systems is preferred.
