Key Account Manager,, Original Equipment Manufacturer- Adhesive Dispensing Solutions

You will work directly with manufacturers, using technology to bring products to the market.


In this position, you will lead tiers strategy at selected OEM customers to increase customer experience, increase sales in projects/daily use, and ensure specification of products to increase use across the US/Canada.


As part of the sales team, you will report to the Vice President of Sales or Global Key Account Manager and work with customers in Ohio north of Columbus.


Travel requirements: estimated at 2-3 overnights per month if in SE MI, and travelling regularly in Ohio North of Columbus during the day.


What we expect of you:


  • Lead our strategy at select corporate Tier locations to ensure they select our equipment for all programs.
  • Lead our daily strategy at select Tier manufacturing sites to ensure the use of our equipment.
  • Map and define Tiers for OEMs and upcoming major programs and discover "new players."
  • Define market potential for products within the Tier market and define/identify products and solutions needed to reach further into the Tier market.
  • Collaborate with our Global Key Account Manager network to ensure globally we are aligned in strategy and product approach at Tiers.
  • Be the local sales expert for all applicable products, solutions, and services offerings at select Tiers.
  • Ensure regular and correct amount of plant visits with Key Account Managers outside of Michigan to coach, define sales strategy, and help win critical/key programs.
  • Develop a yearly Tiers Business Plan and applicable sales material to implement our Tiers strategy at applicable accounts.
  • Participate in the sales strategy when the decision maker is outside the US or when the decision maker is an Integrator/MTB.
  • Work with the Proposal Team to standardize our product offering to Tiers.
  • Create blanket price agreements and negotiate pricing when applicable Tiers are inside the US, and support negotiations and blanket creations when customers are outside the US.



To succeed, you need:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or equivalent Military Service
  • Knowledge of selling to Automotive Tiers and knowledge in industrial dispensing/mechanical joining but not required.
  • 1+ years of experience with customer relationship
