Our client a not-for-profit research institute is seeking a Procurement Manager to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Procurement Department.
  • Ensure efficient operations of the Institute s overall procurement process to include purchasing, shipping and receiving, property and inventory control and transportation programs.
  • Develop and implements procurement policies and procedures consistent with good business practices and applicable regulations.
  • Oversees the purchasing of a wide range of equipment, commodities and services.
  • Evaluate proposals for value, recommends and selects suppliers, negotiates contract terms and conditions as well as negotiates with vendors for goods and services.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional level procurement experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of personnel management experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience with government and commercial purchasing as well as a thorough understanding of inventory management and control concepts.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of transportation federal regulations and statues, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), the Department of Defense supplement to FAR (DFARS) and OBM Circular A-133 and A-122.
