Journeyman Communications Specialist
This is a HYBRID REMOTE position.

Provides junior level communications subject matter expertise to the MAA and MA Program Office.

In this role you will .

  • Participate in the pre-assessment coordination, MAA onsite, report development and Mission Assurance protection program related request for information.
  • Must have familiarity with Mission Assurance/communications applicable policy, standards, and benchmarks.
  • Maintain applicable security clearance requirement.
  • Provide technical support to the information technology program.
Experience Requirements:
  • Two (2) years or more of DoD experience in the communications field performing mission planning.
  • Two (2) years or more desired experience in headquarters MA program reviews and installation level MA assessments.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and pertinent federal policy, Marine Corps or Navy operations background, CISSP certification (or other DoD 8570 IAM Level 3 certification).
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Security, Information Technology, Technical.
Security Clearance Requirements:
  • Active TOP SECRET security clearance with the ability to attain SCI.
Other Requirements:
  • Required travel minimum 50% of the time
  • May be required to move equipment/files weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Reports to a physical location which occasionally requires the ability to traverse between buildings
  • Ability to manage stress with a high degree of maturity/professionalism
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and leadership skills and the ability to work well with others
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
This position is contingent on funding.
