Estimator


Job Details

The candidates' primary purpose of this job is to analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare material cost and labor estimates for modular building projects and site services. This will include performing the following duties:

  • Reviewing data to determine material and labor requirements and preparing quote sheets
  • Working as a cost estimator to prepare complete estimates for materials (steel) and labor for projects
  • Consulting with sales, suppliers, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates, identify cost trends, and resolve any issues
  • Analyzing completed projects to compare estimated costs to actuals costs and determining reasons for discrepancies
  • Occasionally going out to the production floor to connect with builders and view projects and materials


Requirements

  • Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree; three-five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced organizational skills are necessary, including prioritizing and multi-tasking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and is proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations and write reports and manuals
  • Willing to work overtime, as needed
