Robert Half Executive Search has been exclusively retained to identify a Director of Information Systems. Our client, located in Southern Oregon is a leader in the healthcare and is also an economic and social asset for the community. They are a not-for-profit, community-owned, accredited acute-care teaching hospital dedicated to the people it serves. The Director of Information Systems will ensure the quality of infrastructure and application services delivered system wide is maintained at acceptable levels, including managing incident response and escalations, as well as planning for future growth and disaster recovery. The Director will lead the IS department and ensure cost effective, computer-based systems and services that support the system mission, vision, and strategic plan of the organization.


The Director of Information Services will report to and partner with the CFO to establish priorities of IS objectives and tasks for the organization. Will collaborate with senior leaders, directors, and stakeholders to set organizational vision and strategy and determine how technology can best serve the business. Utilize appropriate governance structures to assure stakeholders have appropriate understanding and input. The Director will also develop strong professional relationships with physicians, administrators, peer managers, supervisors, staff, and vendors to ensure key stakeholders, business partners and customers are aligned.


Functional Competencies Required

  • Minimum of 10 years experience managing information systems staff and project teams.
  • Three years of recent healthcare experience along with three years of EPIC Systems experience.
  • Strong project management and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Possesses the ability to make decisions in stressful situations.
