Field Test Technician

Pay based one experience level
For more than 7 decades our client has been the industry leader in the design and manufacturing of medium to low voltage power distribution equipment such as switchgear and related products in the Rail and Transit markets. Manpower assisting our client in hiring Field Test Technicians.
This is a direct hire opportunity. Starting pay depends on experience level.
- of basic electrical theory.
- to interpret electrical schematics.
Possession of those trouble-shooting skills needed to identify and resolve wiring and component application problems in switchgear equipment.
- to use and operate various types of test equipment to perform the tasks of a test technician.
- Required.
- to lead equipment testing supervising other technicians.
- with Control Systems verification and troubleshooting.
- testing in a Power Substation environment is a plus. Specific tests include: Dielectric (HiPot) Testing, CT Verification, and Transformer Testing. Typical system voltages range from 5 38 KVAC and up to 1600 VDC.
- to plan and schedule project testing activities from beginning to end.
