**Temporary Position**

The **Mansfield Library** invites applications for a **Temporary Book Mover** to join their team. This position is needed to ensure the Circulation unit is able to meet the deadline of May 2022 for having all the materials moved off level 4. Moving the materials off that floor is required for construction of library partner spaces, specifically offices for Defense Critical Language and Culture Program and Global Leadership Initiative.

This position moves library materials from one area to another, loads books onto carts, pushes filled carts, unloads books onto shelving. The position requires the ability to repeatedly lift 10-20 pounds, bend and pick up books from floor level and reach over head to move books up and down, and use a footstool, which requires mobility and physical demands. The Temporary Book Mover must be able to keep items in numerical order. This position works under the supervision of Circulation supervisors. They will work as part of a team of student employees and staff which communicate daily and meet deadlines together.

This position is temporary from Jan. 2022 April 30, 2022. It will be 20-30 hours/week, 8 am to noon Monday Friday.
