The STS Group is a stock listed, globally leading supplier of components and systems for the commercial vehicle and automotive industries headquartered in France. Together, APG and STS are pioneering operations of Class A surface components for the heavy trucks in the USA. We are seeking an experienced Material and Production planning person to support the manufacturing operation in the opening of the first brand new STS facility in Salem, Virginia. ROLE DEFINITION:To participate in the efficient and effective running of the logistics function including managing Material Release Planning (MRP), managing material and logistics suppliers and updating of the current ERP system in use.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES/KEY TASKS:Production Scheduling as requiredEnsure MRP runs in line with the defined cycleCheck MRP action and error messages prior to schedule updateWork with suppliers and internal customer(s) to execute an optimal logistics planWork with manager on scheduling, performing, and finalizing all physical inventories.Provide support in any number of areas of logistics including:Inbound freight planningContract managementParts and material procurementInventory controlOutbound transportationParticipate in stock take activities (I.e.
