Reporting to the Associate Head of School, the Director of Auxiliary Programs and the Summer Program will work across the school and within its various constituencies to further develop and oversee the school's mission-appropriate use of the campus assets during the school year and summer months. In addition to directing all aspects of the Summer program and building upon its value proposition and brand, the Director s portfolio of responsibilities will include the campus store, the campus textbook process, the school's athletic and enrichment camps, and all campus property and facility rentals. In addition, the Director will explore, develop, and oversee strategic campus programming and facility use, highlighting the school's distinctive programs (environmental studies and sustainability; arts; STEM; athletics; equity, inclusion, and justice; internships; citizenship and community; and global study and travel). The Director will strengthen the school's overall brand, assist with school year and summer recruiting and enrollment efforts, and achieve annual auxiliary revenue targets.

The Position

The Director of Auxiliary Programs and Summer Programs will partner with nearly all offices throughout the school (enrollment, business and human resources, plant facilities and campus safety, dining services, academic and campus life, athletics, arts, multicultural affairs, health services, student activities, communications, information technology, and advancement) to develop, market, host, and manage all aspects of a robust array of auxiliary programs, camps and rentals, as well as the campus store and School Programs. Collaborating and coordinating across the school and with outside organizations, renters, vendors, and consultants, the Director will lead the design of new and existing auxiliary programs and processes that will promote the school's mission, values-distinctive programs, and brand. The Director will have significant experience in campus facility or auxiliary program development and management and will serve as a strategic thinker, planner, and manager focused on the long-range and day-to-day review, assessment, and implementation of all auxiliary programming. The Director will bring systems-thinking to the role and, with the auxiliary program and Summer Program team members, will set high benchmarks for progress within all facets of the programs, including customer service. The Director will advance auxiliary programs with purpose, intention, and excellence; explore opportunities for leveraging the intellectual and physical assets of the school; and seek to identify partnerships to enhance program reputation and annual revenues.


As leader of the school's storied summer program, the Director will oversee the administration, operation, and financial performance of Summer Programs. They will administer the overall summer program, including the development and delivery of an innovative, engaging educational and residential program as well as unique enrichment and experiential programming. The Director will be responsible for the recruitment and oversight of a diverse Summer Program faculty and student body, as well as facilities and financial oversight.
