Position Summary
This position is responsible for performing as-needed repairs and calibration of microwave based chemistry products. Repairs may range from general maintenance to complete unit rebuild on either customer owned or in-house units. This position works in the Service depot on our Matthews, North Carolina campus.
Summary of essential job functions
- Conduct thorough visual inspection of units and perform operational checks.
- Determine issue(s) using troubleshooting/fault isolation strategy.
- Execute repair on suspected defective units.
- Install (as required) software updates or hardware retrofits.
- Carry out system calibrations and functional tests on completed units prior to return.
- Document all repairs, time, parts, failure, and solution descriptions.
- Other duties as required by supervisor.
Minimum requirements:
Minimum 3 years in related fields, associate s degree in Electronics, or equivalent experience.
Abilities required:
Technical background in electronics/electromechanical systems.
Ability to read and comprehend technical publications and schematics.
Ability to use basic hand tools.
Computer skills to include but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams.
Must be able to lift 50lbs.
