POSITION SUMMARY: Works closely with Receiving Manager/Supervisor to ensureefficient operation of the Receiving Department. The Receiver is responsiblefor ensuring all products are delivered to their assigned department or areaThe Receiver may also pack out and stock product and materials to ensurecontinuous availability for venue staff. The goal is to acceleratebusiness development by keeping all venues accurately and efficiently stockedfor smooth operations.

*This receiving position will be employed in a high-volume bar and restaurant. No operating of heavy machinery is required in this role.*

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Remove pallets from delivery trucks and ensure product isaccurately received, stocked, and replenished.

Load, unload, and move heavy, bulky products.

Store incoming deliveries in/on bins, pallets, shelves,racks, coolers, etc.

Separate received orders by venue; moving, handling, andtransporting product to each department carefully and accurately.

Reports damages or shortages to Supervisor.

Understand and prepare for the physical demands of movingproduct the majority of his/her shift, and follow proper lifting guidelines toensure safe moving and placement of product.

Appropriately organize materials and product, and stock toset up venues for sales success.

Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OFTHE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Receive shipments, check for damages, and sort stockfor distribution by Department.

Maintain knowledge of shipments, vendors andsuppliers.

Ability to lift and carry boxes up to 50 pounds andpush/pull heavy loads of 75 pounds in a physical environment.

Ability to perform work tasks while bending,stooping, climbing, and reaching.

Monitor shelves and restock when needed.

Stay well organized and able to multitask, while being attentiveto detail.

Think quickly and problem solve to resolve issues.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or GED strongly preferred

At least 6 months of experience in area ofresponsibility

Must be able to read, write and understand simpleinstructions, short correspondence and memos in English

Must be able to do simple mathematical calculations,including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units ofmeasure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and computingpercentages and ratios

Previous experience in receiving, handling, andstocking in retail or warehouse/distribution environments preferred
