The Role - Operations Manager

The General Manager / Operations Manager role at our client s company oversees all operational aspects, including logistics surrounding removing and reinstalling roofing, customer service, project management, human resources, and administration. Responsibilities include managing P&L, budgets, and personnel training while driving sales strategy and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Strong leadership, analytical skills, and integrity are essential for success in this role.

The office is located in Orem, UT and the role may require some travel.



KEY REQUIREMENTS (DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU SPECIFICALLY POSSESS THE BELOW EXPERIENCE)

  • 2+ years of experience in operations management
  • 2+ years of experience managing multiple large teams (of 4 people or more)
  • 2+ years of experience using project management software

Bonus

  • Experience in the construction/roofing industry is an advantage



Core Responsibilities

  • Eliminate bottlenecks and backlogs through proper planning, project management, and process improvement
  • Run weekly meetings with construction management to ensure projects are on track and resolve any issues.
  • Oversee permitting/engineering contractors, project approvals, and service dispatch practices.
  • Analyze systems and processes and optimize them.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and direction to managers, establishing short and long-term goals, and taking responsibility for profit/loss in the organization
  • Lead communication efforts in assigned markets, overseeing overall operational, management, and financial responsibility.
  • Maintain transparency in communications both internally and externally.
  • Navigate customer relations issues and coach team members to adapt to have a more proactive approach to prevent issues and complaints.
  • Stay informed of competing construction/roofing markets and provide reporting and analytics to leadership.
  • Ensure all projects are administered at the highest level of compliance, supervising project managers and office staff toward revenue goals.
  • Co-create, design, develop, implement, and assess project management procedures, quality control, and safety methods.
  • Participate in weekly sales and leadership meetings, taking a leadership role in dispute resolution, and assisting in training.
