Summary
Provides a variety of materials handling functions in support of warehouse or dock operations.
Essential Functions
Receive, store, inspect and issue material from the assigned warehouse(s). Sort, count, mix and weigh material as requested. Package, palletize and route material to appropriate area using pallet jack, dolly, or forklift. Perform physical inventories and cycle counts.
Identify appropriate stock locations supporting FIFO rotation and stock consolidation efforts.
Review receiving paperwork for correctness, research and resolve stock discrepancies.
May issue Kanban releases to replenish component inventory as required by each Kanban card.
Use computer system and RF scan device.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Perform data entry functions.
Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
Unpack and inspect incoming shipments for damage and verify contents.
May monitor and correct aging in-transit, negative in-transit, and in-inspection reports.
Other duties as needed and directed by the supervisor.
Knowledge of Lancer Quality Systems
Previous shipping/receiving or warehouse related experience required.
10 key and data entry experience a plus.
Knowledge of computers for tracking inventory.
Able to complete written reports.
Able to use miscellaneous material handling equipment (i.e.- pallet jacks, dollies).
Detail-oriented
Lifting required
Must have knowledge of computer systems (MS Office)
Education and Experience
H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. equivalency preferred
Minimum 6 months forklift experience required
