About The Role:

As an Assistant Builder, you'll be responsible for playing a supportive role in the quality construction of our customers' homes. You will assist in the entire home building process, while going through the training required to develop into a Construction Builder. You'll draw upon your experience and the experience of a designated Construction Builder to follow-through on company construction standards and will offer fair, prompt, and courteous attention to address customer concerns and manage that customer relationship.

What Will You Be Doing?

Assist your Construction Builder with the following:
  • Instilling the philosophy of "Clean Site, Done Right, On Time"
  • Oversee the construction activities and security of each home
  • Use Quality Control checklist to confirm progress made and the quality of work that was done the day prior.
  • Ensure job readiness for the next trade.
  • Responsible for keeping houses, garages, lots, and common areas clean by setting expectations with subcontractors and consistently holding them accountable
  • Daily vigilance of looking over the Trade Partner work
  • Learn and understand the home building process and schedule.
  • Under the Builder's guidance, shadow pre-construction meetings, pre-drywall meetings, orientation walks and closing walks.

Job Task:
  • Schedule coordination: Utilization of computer software to manage schedule
  • Assist with Customer communication
  • Shadow Pre-construction meetings
  • Shadow Pre-drywall meetings
  • Trade Partner relations
  • Trade Partner Accountability
  • Inspections at all phases of work
  • Approval/disapproval of work
  • "On Call" duties on rotating schedule
  • Completion of any necessary punch work to finish homes
  • Quality Inspections on all phases of work as directed.
