Mission:
We are seeking an experienced Product UX/UI Design Manager to lead our exceptional design team and contribute as a designer on high-impact projects. In this unique dual role, you will wear two hats.
What you ll be doing:
- Manager: You will provide strategic direction and leadership to the UX/UI design team, fostering a collaborative and creative environment. Responsibilities include:
- Setting design vision and goals aligned with product strategy.
- Recruiting, hiring, and mentoring talented UX/UI designers.
- Balance the needs between urgency and quality
- Defining design processes and workflows to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Providing ongoing coaching and feedback to help designers grow their skills.
- Partnering with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure a user-centered approach to product development.
- Championing design thinking within the organization.
- Individual Contributor: You will continue to hone your design skills by actively participating in design projects. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting user research to understand user needs and pain points.
- Creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
- Designing intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
- Collaborating with developers to ensure designs are implemented effectively.
- Staying up-to-date on the latest UX/UI design trends and best practices.
What makes you the hero for this job?
- 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design
- 2+ years of experience leading and mentoring a design team (or relevant experience managing projects)
- Proven track record of shipping successful user experiences
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- A portfolio showcasing your design skills and process
- Passion for building innovative products and a desire to make a significant impact
