Job Description

ENSCO, Inc. is seeking a Billing Specialist to work in our Springfield, VA office.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Working in conjunction with contract administrators and project managers to ensure timely and accurate submission of government and commercial billings of various types (CPFF, T&M, FFP, etc.)

Submitting invoices to customers through various on-line billing systems (email, WAWF, IPP, etc.)

Reviewing Aged Accounts Receivables report and make collection calls for overdue receivables.

Assisting with payment application by providing information to accurately apply cash receipts to outstanding invoices.

Participating in month-end closing.

Tracking contract funding.

Analyzing monthly unbilled receivables, researching, and resolving issues.

Participating in monthly AR and Unbilled meetings with Finance, Operations and Contracts Department.

Reconciliation of Project data to billing data.

Communicating with internal and external customers to identify and resolve billing and payment discrepancies.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required (Skills)

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field; or 7 years of equivalent experience
  • 5 years or more of experience in government and commercial contract billing
  • Deltek Costpoint and Cognos Reporting Experience - Billing and Projects Module
  • Familiarity with Government Cost Accounting, FAR, GAAP, and DCAA compliance
  • Understanding of T&M, FFP, and Cost Plus billing
  • Well versed using Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, etc.
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, be well-organized and a self-starter


Division Description

The Finance Division manages all aspects of the company's long-term financial decisions and activities in order to maintain a healthy financial position. The division implements ENSCO's accounting practices, maintains its fiscal records, and prepares its financial reports, general ledgers, fixed asset administration, cost accounting, budgetary controls, capital expenditures, and company chart of accounts.
