For a U.S. Government agency s Chief Information Officer (CIO) organization, manage support services for its Information Technology (IT) systems security staff. Gather and organize information and sufficiently address problems that arise and offer procedural improvements when necessary. Provide oversight of deliverables as assigned by the client through technical direction. Examine project timelines, proposed budgets, expenditures, staffing, product quality, product delivery, and other related activities for compliance with company s contractual requirements.

Required Skills

  • Program/project management experience for support services to an IT or system security organization on a federal government environment.
  • Management experience on transition phase-in, deliverable management, timelines and budgets, adherence to contractual terms and conditions, resource/work force allocation and management, client communications, risk/problem management, quality assurance, and status/risk reporting.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritize workload based on direction from Government representatives.
  • Proven customer service skills including the ability to focus on building customer relationships and responding to customer needs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job Duties

  • Gather and organize information and sufficiently address problems that arise and offer procedural improvements when necessary.
  • Provide oversight of the deliverables as assigned by the client through technical direction.
  • Examine project timelines, proposed budgets, expenditures, staffing, product quality, product delivery, and other related activities for compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Developing a viable transition phase-in approach that accomplishes an uninterrupted and seamless transition with the predecessor supplier.
  • Lead, manage and accomplish all task objectives with adherence to the terms and conditions incorporated under the project s order.
  • Ensure that all necessary resources are provided as specified in the terms and conditions.
  • Maintain communications with the client technical and contracts representatives throughout project performance.
  • Keep the Government fully informed of status (project timelines, budget and needs), verbally and in writing on a continual basis.
  • Immediately communicate potential problems to the client technical and contracts representatives as well as recommend actions that would mitigate or resolve the problems.
  • Develop and submit a viable work plan that outlines the company process and activity durations to accomplish the task objectives.
  • Maintain a viable work force to ensure uninterrupted performance of all tasks.
  • Submit a Quality Management Plan (QMP) as well as quality evaluate all task deliverables prior to submission of the deliverables (perform quality assurance).
  • Prepare and submit a Monthly Progress and Performance Status Report that outlines the accomplishments within the respective month of billing. The report is to describe the methods of performance, activities relative to expending contractor resources and include action items, risk analysis and a risk response.

Experience and Education Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years work experience relevant to the requirements in the job description with a Master s degree. Or minimum 12+ years experience relevant to the requirements of the position without a master s degree.
  • Master s Degree in Business Management, Business/Administration, or closely related field preferred.

Work Location

On-site and remote supporting a government agency with offices in Washington D.C. and Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.

Security Clearance Requirements

Ability to pass a mandatory U.S> Government Public Trust background check.
