Job Description:

They are seeking a skilled and experienced Estimator to join their team. As an Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in their continued success and expansion. This position offers substantial growth opportunities for individuals looking to advance into leadership and management roles within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for a wide range of commercial construction projects.
  • Analyze project plans and specifications to identify key cost drivers and potential challenges.
  • Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
  • Evaluate material and labor costs, subcontractor bids, and other project-related expenses.
  • Create comprehensive bid packages and submit competitive and timely proposals.
  • Maintain a database of historical cost data and ensure it is up-to-date.
  • Continuously review and improve estimating processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Participate in project kick-off meetings to ensure a smooth transition from estimation to project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools, such as Bluebeam, Procore, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and contracts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Knowledge of the design build process
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
