Construction Estimator
Summary:
Our client is seeking a Construction Estimator to join their team! Our client serves both public and private sectors throughout North Carolina, and are known to pride themselves on quality, dependability, and meeting deadlines. The Estimator will be responsible for maintaining projects and bids while estimating costs for labor, equipment, and materials. - $70,000-$90,000 BOE
Responsibilities:
- Review job plans with superintendent, jobsite foreman, and client while determining duration and cost of project.
- Maintain projects and bids while managing subcontractor jobs.
- Estimate type of materials and quantity, while estimating costs for labor and equipment.
- Complete and submit bid proposals, bid bonds, payment, or performance bonds.
- Establish estimated completion and progress including reimbursements for unforeseen events.
- The estimation will include all the necessary materials required in the construction process; asphalt, stone, concrete, earthwork, pipe, erosion control, etc.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in construction project estimating and working knowledge of construction contracts including development, and negotiations.
- In-depth knowledge of road construction.
- Knowledge of safety regulations.
- Civil Engineering degree preferred.
- Experience in SAGE100, HCSS Heavy Bid, and basic construction software s preferred.
