Our client is currently looking for a Network Engineer to join our team, who will support an extensive digital modernization program.

  • Designing, maintaining, and operating Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs), Wireless, Internet connectivity, and Network Security
  • Maintain existing network equipment, installing new equipment in plant environments.
  • Optimize end-to-end system performance and dataflow management.
  • Conduct data captures to obtain network performance information.
  • Minimize network latency and maximize data throughput through design analysis and network performance monitoring tools.
  • Provide input to the design of the organization's network and mission architecture.
  • Design solutions, integrate, configure, deploy, test, and provide ongoing maintenance for numerous types of network devices, interfaces and methodologies.
  • Configure and optimize the network to connect various front-end and back-end components.
  • Gather needed data to specify system/component performance and interface requirements.
  • Implement specific network solutions to support server requirements to include load-balancing, VPN s, firewall contexts, Traffic Shaping Voice over IP (VoIP), GRE Tunneling, IP Security (IPSec), IP Encryption, Media over IP (MoIP), and network address translation (NAT) where appropriate.
  • Must have flexible working hours to be available to support team when needed to include:
  • Occasional on-call support (typically one week at a time every two months) or additional hours based on mission need.


  • Required Qualifications:Must hold an active Secret security clearance and have the ability to obtain a Top Secret. (US Citizenship required)
  • A Bachelor s degree and 8+ years of network engineering experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities including creative problem solving and root cause analysis.
  • Committed to documentation and organization efforts.
  • Capable of multitasking while working in a constantly shifting environment with many moving pieces.
  • Must have a DoD IAT level II baseline certification, prior to start (Sec+).


  • Desired Qualifications:Knowledge of proper procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment used to install, maintain, and repair wireless communications systems and subsystems. Knowledge of electronic and wireless theory including digital, analog, and circuitry.
  • Proficiency with Juniper IOS or other IP/transport specific management tools (EMS) and general practices.
  • Expertise in IP technologies, i.e. Networking architectures and methodologies and Voice Services.
  • Expert Knowledge of IP principles.
  • Proficiency in at least two or more of the following devices: SONUS SBC, Juniper MX5 routers, Juniper SRX firewalls, Juniper EX switches, SONUS SBCs, KG175.
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following tools: SolarWinds or Junos Space.
