Our client, a leader in the biotech industry, is looking to hire a Lab Support Technician in Rahway, NJ.
*This job is a 1-year W2 contract role with benefits!*
As a Lab Support Technician, you will support our client s customers in a lab environment, troubleshooting and configuring desktop hardware, instrument-controlled software, and core laboratory applications. You will analyze and implement enhancements and upgrades to these lab technologies, creating timely solutions for our client s customers.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for lab computers and instrument-controlled software in a research lab environment
- Identify and implement security, updates, and permissions for lab computing software
- Manage on-boarding, retirement or relocation of computer equipment to our client s facilities
- Update a physical inventory of lab equipment, PCs, software, and other lab technologies
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor s Degree in science or related field
- Experience troubleshooting with computers and scientific technologies
- 2+ years of technical experience with Windows technologies, network troubleshooting, remote computing, and backup systems
- Prior experience in scientific research laboratory, Life Sciences or related field
