Are you an experienced Electrical Technician looking to advance your career with a leader in the material handling industry? This role based out of our St. Louis Robotics facility is an exciting opportunity to join of the best places to work in Missouri.
The Bastian Solutions Robotics team is looking for an Electrical Technician to support wire control panels and machinery. An Electrical Technician will be responsible for general wiring and assembly of material handling equipment projects. Duties will include wiring, fabrication, assembly, and painting of projects as well as general repair and maintenance of shop equipment.
Job Duties:
- Work from electrical schematics to wire control panels and machinery
- Ability to set up and operate pipe benders and threaders
- Ability to bend and mount conduit
- Works from sketches/drawings to produce parts from Sheetmetal, plate and bar stock
- Assemble equipment from fabricated parts, including weldments.
- Ability to set up and operate saws, shear, press brake, punches and ironworker
- Help where needed - assembly and painting
- Repair and maintain shop equipment and facilities as required.
- Produce high quality parts with low rejection rate
- Be a team player and contributor in shop
- Show mutual respect for coworkers
- Show up to work every day and on time
- Any and all job duties as assigned
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong electrical aptitude - Material Handling, Robotics, Manufacturing or Packaging background highly preferred
- At least a High School Education/GED
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and develop finished product from these plans
- Relevant fabrication shop experience.
- Team player, able to take direction.
- Owns own hand tools to perform electrical tasks
- General knowledge of fluid power systems (pneumatics, hydraulics) as well as electrical wiring
- Some welding skills; Bastian Robotics to help with training
- Occasional overtime required when necessary
