Onsite: 3 days onsite, including one travel to other location
Hours: 8:30-5 pm. With alternating weeks on call
Rate: $70.hr

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Server Administration Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in managing and maintaining both Linux and Windows operating systems, virtual machines, and Pure Storage hardware. The primary responsibilities of this role include: Server and Workstation Management
- Perform regular maintenance, patching, and updates on servers and workstations
- Ensure optimal performance and reliability of the server infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and resolve any hardware or software-related issues
Virtual Machine Management
- Provision, configure, and manage virtual machines running on various hypervisors
- Implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions for virtual environments
Cisco UCS and Pure Storage Hardware
- Manage and optimize the performance of Pure Storage hardware
Patch Management
- Develop and execute a comprehensive patch management strategy for servers and workstations
- Ensure timely deployment of security updates and software patches
Communication and Collaboration
- Effectively communicate technical information to both IT and business stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Qualifications and Experience
- 10+ years of experience in server administration, with a focus on critical infrastructure environments (e.g., utility, oil and gas)
- Proficient in managing storage solutions, such as Pure Storage solutions
- Extensive experience working with both Linux and Windows operating systems, including virtual machine management
- Hands-on experience with patch management, event monitoring, using tools like SolarWinds and Tripwire
- Experience and familiarity with UCS Cisco environment
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology) and relevant certifications are preferred
