Eisner Health is seeking a skilled Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) with leadership experience. Lead a dynamic team of women s health professionals in providing top-quality, evidence-based holistic care to a low-income population!

The Role:

The Women s Health Center Director oversees and provides outpatient clinical care at a busy community health center. Services include family planning, pregnancy care (low and high risk), and gynecologic care. This role also coordinates with other sites across the organization to align pregnancy care and clinical processes. Additionally, the Director of Women s Health consults and acts as a resource for the Eisner Health s clinicians and support personnel, engages in Quality Improvement and Peer Review processes, and participates in the hiring of licensed clinical staff. This position reports to the Chief Medical Officer and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

1. Provides direct clinical care to patients.

2. Provides ongoing consultation, guidance, and supervision to clinic providers.

3. Coordinates and completes new clinician onboarding (orientation, training, and mentorship).

4. Completes on-going clinical trainings and check-ins with staff to ensure best practices.

5. Reviews medical records of subordinate providers for completeness, accuracy and quality of care provided.

6. Is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the monthly departmental professional staffing calendar.

7. Tracks and ensures follow-up on Patient Assessment Questionnaires and encounter volume and billing.

8. Participates in the completion of relevant grant applications.

9. Works with the Trauma Informed Care Coordinator to implement trauma-informed practices.

10. Completes performance evaluations of staff.

11. Works with the Human Resources department to mediate interpersonal conflicts between clinicians, complete disciplinary actions as needed, and process terminations and leaves of absence.

12. Oversees High Risk OB clinic, ensures adequate appointments, participates in delivery planning, and ensures adequate high-risk staffing and training.

13. Provides or coordinates in-service and case conferences for department staff.

14. Participates in the Quality Improvement program and is responsible for departmental QI activities.

15. Participates in all relevant clinical meetings, including the weekly Clinical Directors meeting.

16. Assists the Chief Medical Officer in establishing and implementing a system of departmental peer review.

17. Works with the Chief Medical Officer and clinical providers to optimize departmental productivity.

18. Collaborates with HR and the Chief Medical Officer in the hiring and credentialing of subordinate staff for the department.

19. Consults as needed with the Chief Medical Officer on departmental issues and concerns.


Qualifications:

  • Licensed advanced practice clinician (Certified Nurse Midwife, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant).
  • Active California medical license required.
  • At least 4 years experience in comprehensive women s health care, with some Labor & Delivery experience preferred.
  • 2 or more years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse, interdisciplinary team.
  • Spanish proficiency preferred.
