Job Summary:
As a Research Assistant, you will support client accounts, as well as our Situation Room Studios podcasts, helping our clients address their most Complex Communications challenges. A typical day might include researching relevant news related to our clients, doing a deep dive into podcast episode topics, or pitching potential guests.

- Do you have a strong background in research, either in an academic or professional setting?
- Are you an excellent writer, able to pen research briefs in a clear and concise manner?
- Are you a strong communicator with experience in the one of the following areas: the podcast, communications, media, marketing, and/or non-profit industries?
- Are you a detail-oriented collaborator, who enjoys project-based work in a fast-paced professional environment, working well under pressure and with limited guidance?
- Can you manage scope, track deliverables, create a strategic plan with the team, and then execute the plan?

What You'll Do:
- Draft in-depth research briefs in a timely fashion with little input or editing required.
- Lead proactive and reactive media outreach and strategy on behalf of podcast team.
- Moderate podcast interviews and provide constructive performance feedback after the interview.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings with podcast guests and hosts
- Research and propose episode ideas.
- Podcast guest ideation and outreach.
- Generate compelling social media content for the podcast.
What You'll Need:
- BA/BS degree in journalism, communications, public relations or related field preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of the podcast industry.
- Experience facilitating media interviews and pitching stories.
- Strong ability to produce quality work under tight deadlines.
- Experience writing and developing press materials.
- Ability to successfully multitask.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Collaborative, positive attitude and ability to self-motivate.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
