JF&CS is now seeking a part-time Psychologist for 25 hours per week.
**There is a possibility that the hours for this role may be increased, which could lead to full-time employment.**

PURPOSE: To provide psychoeducational evaluations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Testing and evaluation primarily of children and adolescents, which includes:

  • Intake with parents
  • Two-day evaluation
  • Classroom observation as requested
  • School meetings as requested
  • Written report
  • Oral feedback to parents
  • Oral feedback to child as appropriate
  • Follow up as appropriate
  • Providing occasional talks to schools and community as needed
  • Builds a presence in the community as a JF&CS psychologist


Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. This individual must be a licensed Ph.D or Psy.D. level clinical psychologist. This individual must have direct psychological testing experience as well as experience working with children.

This individual must have strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to quickly build trust and rapport with parents and children. Professionalism, accuracy in scoring, and timeliness of written reports is also required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or controls to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

The work level in the work environment is usually quiet.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Doctorate in clinical psychology. Experience providing psychoeducational evaluations. Experience working with a varied population, with emphasis working with children, adolescents, and families. The individual is a good team player and able to work with a high degree of autonomy. Interest and or experience working in the Jewish community.
