Healthcare Recruiter - Correctional Health Services



Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) has an opportunity to support Correctional Health Services, which is part NYC Health + Hospitals (H+H), the largest public health system in the United States. This opportunity will support the staffing needs at Rikers Island in the Queens, NY. New York s largest correctional facility.


Objectives of this role

  • Work closely with managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company s hiring needs for every role, and to meet competitive hiring goals and expectations
  • Manage the full recruiting lifecycle across a variety of open roles, helping managers find, hire, and retain quality candidates
  • Foster high-touch relationships using a database of qualified candidates to choose from when positions become open
  • Partner with recruiting team and senior managers to design, refine, and implement innovative recruitment strategies
  • Remain active with job boards, social networks, and platforms for finding quality candidates, and create and post job descriptions and announcements


Responsibilities


  • Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates;
  • Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications.
  • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, verifying references, and comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Develop relationships with managers to build awareness of their departments, hiring needs, and job specifications
  • Utilize knowledge of multiple recruiting sources and execute innovative strategies to find quality candidates and prospect for new business
  • Screen resumes and CVs and manage job candidates throughout hiring process, from interview preparation to final-offer negotiation
  • Providing recruitment reports to team managers.
  • Post vacancies on recruitment platforms and career boards
  • Establish and maintain a solid working relationship with schools, colleges, universities and residency/fellowship programs for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Posting jobs and organizing resumes and job applications on career board and recruitment inbox.
  • Manage email campaigns, job fairs (both internal and external), open houses, employee referral programs and other special events.
  • Pro-actively recruits both active and passive candidates
  • May perform other duties, as assigned.

Job Qualifications:


  • Bachelor s degree required, preferably in marketing, business, or other health-related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years previous experience in human resources or recruitment role in a healthcare environment.
  • Proven skills in the evaluation of candidates. Excellent judgement skills.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) required.
  • High attention to detail. Ability to maintain high standards despite pressing deadlines.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to unexpected events, prioritize and multi-task in a deadline driven environment.
