We have an Oil & Energy client based in Downtown Houston looking for a Scheduler to join their team to support an upcoming megaproject.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday / 40 hours a week

Work Type: W2 Contract

Target Start Date: Soonest Available (immediate opening)

Summary/Objective

The Project Services - Project Scheduler plays a crucial role in our project management team in the United States. This role is responsible for developing and managing project schedules, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, and maintaining effective communication with project teams and stakeholders.


Essential Functions

  • Project Scheduling: Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules for various energy projects, incorporating all project phases, tasks, and dependencies. Ensure schedules align with project objectives and contractual requirements.
  • Resource Allocation: Collaborate with project managers and teams to allocate resources effectively, including labor, equipment, and materials, to meet project timelines.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and analyze potential scheduling risks and bottlenecks that may impact project timelines. Develop mitigation plans to address scheduling challenges.
  • Progress Tracking: Continuously monitor project progress and update schedules as necessary to reflect actual timelines. Identify delays, deviations, and opportunities to accelerate project schedules.
  • Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular schedule reports to project stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, variances, and critical paths. Ensure clear and effective communication with project teams and management.
  • Integration with Other Functions: Collaborate with project teams, engineers, procurement, and other stakeholders to ensure the project schedule aligns with all functional requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized scheduling records, including historical data, change orders, and updated schedules. Ensure data is readily accessible for reporting and auditing purposes.
  • Travel: This role may require occasional travel to meet with stakeholders or visit project sites.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field or 8 years of relevant experience in it's place
  • 10+ years of Project Scheduler experience in the energy sector or other related industries.
  • Primavera P6 experience required
