**Job Purpose:**

This position is responsible for supporting production by maintaining warehouse accuracy and being prompt with parts requests; this is vital to production success. This position requires an individual that is highly focused on safety and can handle a high volume of parts requests, as well as, having the ability to prioritize. It is essential that a Material Handler can work successfully both independently and as part of a diverse team. Role is responsible for continuously striving to improve productivity, effectiveness, quality, and safety.

**Essential Functions**:

* Read, sort and process complete orders.

* Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.

* Ability to read and understand visual and written assembly instructions on a computer screen to retrieve parts from a pick list.

* Issue parts to the lines as needed and operate a forklift to move/deliver parts to the line in a timely manner.

* Operate power hand tools, scanners, computers, and work with various other equipment.

* Assist with the upkeep of warehouse inventory and with the loading and unloading trucks.

* Notify the Supervisor of any mechanical or defective material issues.

* Receive cross-training in multiple functions within and between various departments.

* Maintain a safe work environment by following safety rules and participating in reporting of unsafe conditions or instances.

* Maintaining housekeeping by having clean docks and warehouse aisles; stack material neatly and safely.

* Maintain an accurate inventory.

**Schedule:**

**Monday through Thursday with possible Overtime on Fridays!**

1st Shift : 5:30am- 3:30pm, Monday-Thursday Pay: **$21.40**

2nd Shift : 3:30pm-1:30am, Monday-Thursday Pay: **$23.40/hr** [$21.40 (base) + $2.00 (shift differential)]

3rd Shift: 11:00pm- 7:00am Pay: **$23.40/hr** [$21.40 (base) + $2.00 (shift differential)]

**Qualifications**:

* High School diploma or GED preferred

* Experience working with computers in a production setting is preferred

* Ability to obtain/maintain a forklift certification is required
