2nd shift Assembler - $23.91/hour with increase after 90 days

BASIC FUNCTION

Performs assembly operations to produce commercial indoor air handling units.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED

  • Installs parts according to the Assembly Manual, special instructions, prints or other documentation.
  • Utilizes air gun, radial drill, cutoff saw, and other powered tools to fabricate parts for installation.
  • Completes layouts for header panels and cuts appropriate sized holes.
  • Works at different work stations as production needs require.
  • Operates overhead crane to move subassemblies into place.
  • Removes materials from crates and boxes.
  • Verifies quality of work performed and documents results. Takes appropriate corrective action if a deviation is found.
  • Perform safety observations/inspections as required.
  • Indoctrinates new employees concerning Plant Safety rules and guidelines.
  • Adheres to the Company's Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE ABILITY

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos (i.e. safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, shop-floor paperwork, and procedure manuals). Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATH ABILITY

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS

No computer skills required.

CERTIFICATES & LICENSES

Forklift license preferred.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
