Purpose: The material handler in the finished goods department is responsible for ensuring the efficient handling and movement of finished goods within the manufacturing facility. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate inventory records, organizing storage areas, cleaning products, assembly of tools and ensuring quality control and facilitating timely shipments in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security and productivity.
Essential Duties and Requirements:

- Quality Control: Conduct simple inspections using standard measuring instruments/gauges for incoming and outgoing products
- Material Transport: Receive, clean, distribute and storage of finish goods in accordance to the job card. Validate quantities and record information accurately in systems or documents and communicate discrepancies
- Cleaning Parts: Operate the parts cleaning machine according to specifications.
- Labeling Parts: Set up/Chang over according to instructions and operate the laser labeling machine according to technical drawings.
- Order Fulfillment: Retrieve finished goods according to sales orders, work orders, or shipping requests. Prepare packages or pallets for shipment, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all material handling activities, including receipts, shipments, inventory adjustments, counts and labeling. Generate reports using the ERP,CAQ and time management system tor provide information to supervisors as required.
- Machine Maintenance: Monitor, adjust and address malfunctions and settings as necessary. Perform machine maintenance per manufacturer guidelines.
- Inventory Controls: Conduct regular cycle counts to verify physical inventory against system records, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions. Assist with year-end inventory audits as needed.
- Collaborative Support: Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate material flow, address any inventory-related issues, and ensure efficient operations.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe and clean work environment. Report any hazards or incidents promptly and participate in safety training programs.
- Follow Guidelines/Systems
- Adherence to all management systems.
- Support for Continuous Improvement (CIP).
- 6S: Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure "tour ready" status
- Other duties may be assigned
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous warehouse experience a plus
Required Skills / Abilities:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, crane and pallet jacks
- Ability to follow proper safety protocols and written instructions
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to push, pull up to 50lbs
- Able to lift, bend, push and pull with ease
- Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks
- Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble product or machines as directed
- Must have excellent hand-eye coordination
